Apple iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max Rumored to Feature Wi-Fi 7 and 48-Megapixel Ultra Wide Camera

Apple's iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to feature Wi-Fi 7 support and a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide camera lens.

The information comes from Jeff Pu, a tech analyst at Hong Kong investment firm Haitong International Securities. Pu revealed this information in a research note about the tech industry released today.

Wi-Fi 7 is the latest version of the Wi-Fi standard, and it offers significant improvements over Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 7 can support faster speeds, lower latency, and better capacity than Wi-Fi 6. This will be beneficial for users who download large files, stream high-quality video, or play multiplayer games on their iPhones.

The 48-megapixel Ultra Wide camera lens would be a significant upgrade over the 12-megapixel Ultra Wide camera lens found on current iPhones. The 48-megapixel lens would allow for more detail to be captured in photos and videos, especially in low-light conditions. This would be a welcome addition for iPhone users who take a lot of photos and videos in low-light conditions.

Pu's research note also suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a new A17 Bionic chip, a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED display, and a triple-lens rear camera system. The phones are expected to be released in September 2023.

These are just rumors at this point, so it is important to take them with a grain of salt. However, Pu has a good track record of accuracy when it comes to Apple rumors, so it is worth paying attention to this one.
